It is not releasing all the details on the new Pixel 6 yet, that will happen this fall. But the big news here is the Tensor SoC. Which is leaving us with more questions than answers. But the name comes from the “Tensor” chips that it uses in its data centers. Tensor will use at least a mobile TPU for AI operations and a new Titan M2 security chip. The rest of the SoC – CPU, GPU and the 5G modem – are all still a mystery right now....
In case you don’t know much about the Pixel Tablet, Google showed it off earlier during Google I/O this year. Then, during the October 6th Pixel event, the company showed us some of its capabilities. The company also unveiled a one-minute video ad on YouTube demonstrating the myriad abilities of foldable screens. Another shorter video spanning 15 seconds shows the true multitasking capabilities of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 (via). Google and Samsung are clearly partnering in a big way for the new foldables, although its extent is currently unknown. The company has long asked users to enable 2-step verification to boost account security. However, a majority of the users haven’t made the switch yet. With this in mind, Google is taking a more proactive approach to bolster the security of account owners. An extension of this feature will be to ask YouTube creators to enable 2-step verification on their accounts.
