A report by The Elec (via SamMobile) states that Qualcomm is even asking TSMC to make a portion of its 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. This is despite Samsung Foundry being listed as the sole manufacturer of the chip when it was first announced. The decision barely comes as a surprise given that Samsung Foundry’s yield for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 was only 35%. What this also means is that Qualcomm will partner with TSMC for its upcoming 3nm SoCs....

Essentially confirming that we’ll see foldables at this event next month, which was basically confirmed already. Dr. Roh talks about how they believe the “mainstream moment for foldable smartphones is here”, with the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4. Roh states that he “has worked my entire career as an engineer, and I have seen many innovations at Samsung that have pushed the limits of what’s possible with smartphones....

The goal here for Samsung is to allow gamers to enjoy games without having tp purchase separate, expensive gaming hardware. Though at this point in time, it might be more challenging to “find” some of the more expensive gaming hardware than pay for it. Therein potentially lies an opportunity for Samsung. If it can manage to deliver a high-grade gaming experience over the cloud. If so, then all consumers would need is a Samsung TV running Tizen and a compatible controller....
