In any case, the job listing says: “We believe that the future of computing is shifting towards more powerful and capable tablets”. Google also added that it tries to launch seamless support across its platforms and “hero experiences” that will make people “productive and creative”....

Now yes, Google does this already to an extent. Providing the same cameras on a cheaper model, and the same design. But Google should go a step further, now that they have Tensor. You see, Apple basically uses an older design, one that has been around since roughly 2016, puts its newest processor in there, upgrades the storage (faster storage, not necessarily more storage), and prices it around $400. Google could do that pretty easily now with the Pixel 6a....

The answer to both those questions has to with the brain’s reward system, which gets excited by both perceived value (e.g. a deeply discounted designer dress) and mating opportunities, however remote (e.g., a photo of a half-naked hottie). And when the reward system gets activated, the brain starts to selectively focus on acquiring rewards, and ignoring costs (or, in the case of investments, risks). Knutson and I talked about how marketers uses this knowledge to make us more likely to binge-shop, gamble, or otherwise throw good money at bad investments....

They seem to be aiming to normalize failure itself—to say to the rest of us (who are hiding our faults in a deep, dark closet) that it’s okay, everyone trips up sometimes.
